Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Smart AI Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your use of study.smartaisolution.co.uk (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. Full business identification is provided in section 13 below.
1. The Service
The Service is an online study platform for UK GCSE and A-Level students. It provides multiple-choice questions, essay-style questions, AI-generated explanations and feedback, progress tracking, and topic-based recommendations.
The Service is a web application delivered through your browser. To use it you need a modern web browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled, a working internet connection, and a Google account for sign-in. The Service has no separate mobile app; it is designed to work in the browser on desktop and mobile devices.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
- One account per person. Do not share your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of your use.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- The free tier is available to all registered users with daily usage quotas.
- The Premium tier is £9.99 per month, billed monthly. Prices are in GBP.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Customer Portal linked in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain Premium access until that date.
- If a payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the free tier until payment is restored.
4. Your right to cancel (UK consumer law)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel an online subscription from the date of purchase. By subscribing to Premium you request that the digital Service begin immediately, and you acknowledge that this right to cancel ends once the Service has started. Outside the 14-day window, you can cancel future renewals at any time via the Customer Portal.
If you believe you were charged in error or the Service did not materially conform to what was promised, contact us at support@smartaisolution.co.uk and we will investigate in good faith.
4a. How to complain
If something has gone wrong, email support@smartaisolution.co.uk with your account email and a clear description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and respond substantively within 30 days. We do not currently participate in an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. If you are unhappy with our response, you may contact your local Citizens Advice service, Trading Standards, or, for data-protection issues, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (see our Privacy Policy).
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- scrape, copy, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or feedback in bulk;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or authentication;
- reverse-engineer, modify, or build derivative products from the Service;
- submit content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes another person’s rights;
- abuse the referral program (see the separate Referral Program Terms).
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, without notice where the breach is serious.
6. AI-generated content
Explanations, feedback, and recommendations are generated in part by large language models. While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy and to ground outputs in real exam data, AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. You must not rely on it as the sole source for revision or coursework. Always cross-check against your own notes, your teachers, and official board materials.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, and AI-generated study content remain our property or the property of our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own personal study. Where third-party past-paper material is surfaced, it is used under the terms of the respective examination boards; we are not affiliated with AQA, OCR, Edexcel, or any other awarding body.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, particularly where needed for security, maintenance, or legal reasons. Scheduled maintenance is announced in-app where practical.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:
- the Service is provided on an “as is” basis for educational purposes; we do not warrant specific exam outcomes;
- our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period, or £100 if you are on the free tier;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revision time or exam results.
Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are not affected.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the Service changes or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your place of residence.
