Subjects & exam boards

We focus on UK GCSE and A-Level revision, aligned to AQA, OCR, and Edexcel specifications. Here's what we cover and how to ask for more.

Which levels do you cover?

  • GCSE — taken in Year 11, ages 15-16
  • A-Level — taken in Year 13, ages 17-18

We're prioritising the highest-demand subjects first. If yours is missing, please use the request flow below — we read every submission.

Which exam boards?

  • AQA
  • OCR
  • Edexcel (Pearson)

Each subject is tagged with its specific board, and questions you see are filtered to your board automatically once you've set it during onboarding. WJEC, CCEA, and Cambridge International boards aren't covered yet — let us know if you want them.

Where do I see the full list?

The complete, current list lives on the Onboarding page — sign in and you'll see all available subjects grouped by GCSE / A-Level. Subjects we haven't added yet appear as a greyed-out “Coming soon” card so you can register your interest in one click.

How do I request a new subject?

On the Onboarding page, scroll to “Don't see your subject?” and submit the subject + exam board you need. We get an alert immediately, prioritise by total demand, and add the most-requested subjects first.

We also accept requests by email at support@smartaisolution.co.uk — include your level (GCSE / A-Level), exam board, and any specific topics you're studying for.

Can I practise just one topic?

Yes, for most subjects. Inside Quiz or Study mode, you'll see a topic filter dropdown — pick one or more topics and the question pool narrows to those. We classify every question against the official spec, so “Algebra” in our filter means the same thing the exam board means.

Are the questions checked for quality?

Yes. Every question is generated against the published spec, then automatically checked against the published past-paper corpus to make sure it doesn't accidentally copy a real paper. We also act on every “Report this question” flag — that link is the most direct way to flag anything wrong, and we re-grade or remove the question if a reviewer agrees with you.

Are you affiliated with the exam boards?

No. Study Smart AI is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AQA, OCR, or Edexcel/Pearson. Practice questions are original AI-generated content aligned to the published exam specifications. The boards' trademarks belong to them.
